H1N1 Vaccine School Based Vaccine Clinic Update - January 7, 2010Beginning on January 7, 2010 St. Cloud area public and nonpublic schools located in Stearns County, in collaboration with CentraCare clinics, will be holding vaccine clinics will be held in the schools for students who need the second dose (up through age 9) and for students who did not receive the first dose (primarily grades 3 -6).
The Minnesota Department of Health broadened eligibility for the vaccine in late December, 2009. Parents who did not provide consents for school-based clinics may wish to contact their primary care provider to schedule a H1N1 vaccine for their children. We are in the process of planning our remaining school-based clinics during January. Parents, who have provided a signed consent, will receive information in student backpacks prior to the scheduled clinics. Please continue to reinforce covering coughs and sneezes, and keep children home if they are sick with influenza like symptoms. Also, continue to check back for further updates.
